Mumbai: There is no end to twists and turns in the Sheena Bora murder case.

The Mumbai Police is now investigating how Indrani Mukherjea's daughter Sheena Bora's resignation letter was sent to her employer days after she was murdered.

Sheena had been employed as an assistant manager with Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd since June 20, 2011. She took leave of absence on April 24, 2012, the day she was killed.

A spokesperson for Mumbai Metro said Sheena sent her resignation while on leave.

As per a news website report, the resignation was sent in May.

Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria told the press on Wednesday that Sheena was murdered on April 24, 2012 and her body found on May 23 that year in a Raigad forest near Mumbai.

So far, three people have been arrested in connection with the case: Indrani Mukherjea, her driver Shyam Rai and her former (second) husband Sanjeev Khanna.
