New Delhi: Delhi's Kerala House is likely to resume serving beef fry from Wednesday after it was taken off the menu following a controversy over allegations that cow meat was being sold there.
The Kerala House officials, while accepting the beef was on the menu, said that it was buffalo meat and not that of cow.

The whole issue exploded into a controversy after Delhi Police allegedly conducted a 'raid' at Kerala House. The police said they acted on a PCR call and had only conducted a probe and that their action was not a raid.
The issue attracted widespread condemnation with politicians across the spectrum protesting the 'high-handedness' of Delhi Police and said the 'raid' was a part of the 'Sangh Parivaar agenda'.

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy shot off a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi terming the episode "highly objectionable".
Charging that Delhi Police had overstepped their brief, he asked Modi to take strong action over the incident.
