BJP launches Amit Shah's website

BJP general secretary Ram Lal on Saturday launched the website of party chief Amit Shah, who hoped it will help interact with the people of the country and party workers.

New Delhi: BJP general secretary Ram Lal on Saturday launched the website of party chief Amit Shah, who hoped it will help interact with the people of the country and party workers.

"I always receive complaints from people that I interact less with media. I do accept that. I have found a simpler way to interact with the people of the country, and particularly, the workers of the party through this website," Shah said at the launch.

He said different activities of the party, government and his own activities will be available on "www.amitshah.co.in" which will help dissemination of information to workers.

The BJP chief said the website will be fully operational and all its content will be available within a week and shortcomings, if any, removed.

He said he had asked Ram Lal, who is the general secretary (Organisation) and a senior party worker, to launch the website as he has dedicated all his life to the party and its welfare.

Shah said he had "always believed more in dedication than capability and this has been my inspiration".

Earlier Ram Lal, who has been sent to BJP by RSS, lauded Shah for his good understanding of ideology, organisational skills and politics.

He said that it was due to Shah's far-sightedness that BJP was now the largest party with 11 crore members, a result achieved by using new and innovative online technology.

Lal said the BJP chief took the party to greater heights and its victory in various polls was a proof of it.

He also hoped Shah's website will help BJP's training programme for new members.

"Amit Shah has succeeded in maintaining a proper coordination between the government and the party. He has taken people's reaction about the government to those in power.

"He reached out to public with policies and initiatives undertaken by the Narendra Modi government for the welfare of the poor, downtrodden and oppressed," he said.

"I hope the website will help achieve goals set by the BJP chief," Lal said.

Earlier, BJP secretary Shrikant Sharma lauded the new initiatives undertaken by the Modi government and talked of the party's expansion and success under Shah's leadership.

BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and several senior party leaders were in attendance at the event.
