Black money: CPI asks govt to come out with all names

New Delhi: CPI on Monday asked the government to come out with names of all those who have allegedly stashed illegal money abroad, saying the Narendra Modi-led dispensation lacked political will to do so.

"Government has to answer a lot of questions as there is a reluctance on its part to give out all the names. This shows that the government lacks the political will and determination to fulfil its election promises," party National Secretary D Raja said here.

Asking why only three names were disclosed, he said Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had said some of the names would embarrass the Congress. "What happened to those names? Why are the names of politicians not being revealed as claimed by the BJP," he asked.

Raja said if the government needs more time to come out with the details of black money stashed in foreign banks, then "it should say how long it will take and come out with a time -frame."

The CPI leader demanded that all steps should be taken to get back the black money from abroad "because it belongs to the people of the country."
