New Delhi: A day after Navjot Singh Sidhu resigned from Rajya Sabha, his wife on Tuesday said that she doesn't know why he quit.
Also, Navjot Kaur Sidhu (Sidhu's wife) said that she is still a part of BJP.
Speculations were rife about Navjot Kaur Sidhu's resignation as a Chief Parliamentary Secretary in Punjab.
She also clarified that her husband has quit BJP as well.
"When he (Navjot Singh Sidhu) has resigned from Rajya Sabha, it only has one meaning that he has resigned from BJP as well," Navjot Kaur Sidhu said.
Choosing the very first day of the Monsoon Session to resign, Navjot Singh Sidhu went in person to meet Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari to tender his resignation.
Later, Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurien announced in the house that Sidhu's resignation has been accepted.
