Now, as the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has declared the results of Probationary Officers (PO) Main examination, it's time to gear up for the interview.
Various coaching institutes are leaving no stone unturned to make their students crack the interview but these five tips - shared by people who have cracked the interview and are working with top IBPS banks - must be kept in mind to grab the PO job.
1) - NEVER EVER LIE
As you know, the IBPS officials have already checked your academic skills in written test, hence the interview is done solely to test your personality. Don't lie to your interviewer as nobody wants to hire a liar.
2) - DON'T PANIC; BE PATIENT
As a banking official, one deals with a lot of customers every day, hence IBPS officials want to hire a person who is calm and patient so as to deal with customers successfully and contribute to the growth of the bank.
3) - DRESS: FORMAL IS THE KEYWORD
Your attire plays a key role in the interview as it is the first thing observed by the interview panel. Remember, dress up formally. Just think as a customer going to bank; have you ever seen any bank official in a party-wear? You know the answer very well.
4)- BE PREPARED FOR BANKING-RELATED QUESTIONS
IBPS hires candidates who are aware of what's latest and happening in the banking sector, so be prepared to face banking-related questions
5)- WEAR A SMILE
Your personality matters a lot. Always, wear a smile. Even, if you don't know the answer of a particular question, say no politely as politeness is one of the key qualities that IBPS looks for.
