Indian Army's Cheetah helicopter crashes near Sukna in West Bengal, 3 officers dead

Indian Army's Cheetah chopper crashed at around 10:30 AM.

Koklata: In a tragic incident, a helicopter operated by the Indian Army crashed near Sukna in West Bengal, killing 3 officers and critically injuring a JCO.

As per initial reports, the Cheetah chopper crashed at around 10:30 AM when it was returning to Sukna Military Camp's helipad, from a routine mission.

Sukna, near Siliguri, is home to 33 Corps of the Indian Army and all aircraft of the Army are run by Army Aviation Corps.

A Court of Inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
