New Delhi: Scores of people on Sunday took out candle light vigils in several Indian cities in solidarity with the victims of the devastating terror attack in the French capital that killed over 120 people and injured hundreds of others.
The Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), a UNESCO world heritage site, was lit up in French flag colour in solidarity with the Paris attack victims.
In Varanasi, people in large numbers participated in a candle light vigil in memory of the victims. Tourists from France have also participated.
Similar candle light march were also organised in Bhopal in which large number of people participated.
At least eight terrorists belonging to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) were involved in the bomb and gun attacks in three places in Paris. All of them were killed. The attack was similar to the one happened in Mumbai in 2008.
France has announced a nationwide emergency in the wake of the attacks. The barbaric attack forced the world leaders to go into a huddle to choke out a joint strategy to tackle the menace of terrorism.
