New Delhi: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, currently in Tel Aviv, paid homage to former Israel prime minister Yitzhak Rabin.

The official twitter handle of the Consulate General of Israel in Mumbai shared the information.

"Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis offered homage to late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin," it posted.

Rabin was associated with much of the Israeli-Palestinian peace processes and was a co-winner of the 1994 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in that direction. He was assassinated by a right-wing radical in 1995, the only Israeli prime minister to be killed in office.
