Kolkata: When a teacher in Kolkata asked primary students to write an essay, she had no inkling the exercise would result in a shocking disclosure.
One of the students of class 5 at the English-medium school in Salt Lake wrote about the behaviour of his father in the essay on "My Family".
As per a report in The Times of India, the usually calm girl vented out her suppressed anger in the write-up.
This is what the child wrote: "My dad is a bad man. He beats my mother regularly. Mom and I cry every night. No one cares for us. Even our uncles have turned a deaf ear to us. Dad beats me also. This is my family."
The girl did not end just there.
"When I will grow up, I will take my mother far away from my dad," she wrote.
The shocked teacher then spoke to the school's principal and counsellor following which the two parents were called to the school.
After being counselled, the duo were advised to stay separately unless her father changes his behaviour towards the mother and child.
