New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal addressing a programme on odd-even scheme on Wednesday thanked Delhiites for making the scheme a success.
Also, the Delhi CM claimed that according to Fortune Magazine, the pollution in Delhi during odd-even phase-I came down by 13 per cent.
Moreover, Kejriwal claimed that the sale of petrol and diesel in the national capital during phase-I of the scheme came down by 40 per cent.
Talking about the transport facilities during odd-even phase-II, Kejriwal said, "We'll try to increase frequency of buses so that more and more people can use buses."
"We are trying to get luxury buses which will be very comfortable," Kejriwal added.
Earlier, on Monday, the Delhi government issued a notification on the fortnight-long odd-even car-rationing scheme that comes into force from April 15, but there is still no clarity as to how parents would pick up their children from schools during the implementation period.
The Arvind Kejriwal government has decided to exempt women and cars carrying school-children in uniform in the second round of the road-rationing plan.
