New Delhi: Operation Rahat to evacuate Indians from strife-torn Yemen will end on Thursday, a day after getting one-day extension.
The operation was extended till Thursday as officials said there were requests from a group of nurses stuck there.
"Responding to needs of 140 nurses India extends air evacuation from Yemen by a day. Flights planned for tomorrow (Thursday) also, subject to clearances," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin tweeted.
Over 4,000 Indian nationals have been evacuated from Yemen so far.
