PM Modi condoles loss of lives in Anantapur train accident

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday condoled the loss of lives in a train accident in Andhra Pradesh`s Anantapur district on Monday.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday condoled the loss of lives in a train accident in Andhra Pradesh`s Anantapur district on Monday.

"My thoughts are with the families of all those who lost their lives in the unfortunate accident of the Bangalore City-Nanded express," Prime Minister Modi tweeted on PMO`s official twitter handle.

At least five persons were killed, including Karnataka MLA Venkatesh Naik, and another 25 were injured today morning when the Bangalore-Nanded Express train collided with lorry which was crossing the railway track in Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh.

The collision resulted in the derailment of four coaches.
