RSS has decided to focus more on providing quality education, health services to the poor and social integration in society, a senior functionary of the organisation in Andhra Pradesh said on Friday.

Vijayawada: RSS has decided to focus more on providing quality education, health services to the poor and social integration in society, a senior functionary of the organisation in Andhra Pradesh said on Friday.

Talking to reporters here, Srinivasa Raju, Vice-President, Andhra Pradesh unit of RSS, said in the present economic and social scenario, the poor are deprived of quality education and health services, which are available only to rich people and those in the corporate world.

Government-run education institutes and hospitals have failed to serve the poor in a better way, he said.

In this context, the RSS has decided to establish small educational guidance and tuitions centres for the poor both in rural and remote areas and also in urban slums in Andhra Pradesh, Raju said.

These centres will be run by RSS volunteers and will provide free services. Likewise, small health care facilities will also be set up in remote areas of the state, he said.

The saffron organisation will take up social integration projects to remove discrimination. Some sections of society even today are not allowed inside temples and use common drinking water resources, the official said.

In such places, he said RSS volunteers would take up awareness campaigns to bring transformation in society.
