Sonia, Rahul condemn Maoist attacks on CRPF team in Chhattisgarh

Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday condemned the attack by Maoists in Chhattisgarh, which resulted in the death of CRPF soldiers and hoped that the guilty will be brought to book at the earliest.

They also extended their condolences to the bereaved families.

"Congress President Smt Sonia Gandhi has expressed deep anguish and condolences over the martyrdom of CRPF jawans in a land mine blast in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh.

"Condemning the mindless violence perpetrated by the Left Wing Extremists, Smt Gandhi hoped that the guilty are brought to book at the earliest," a statement from the office of the Congress President said.

Rahul tweeted "my heartfelt condolences to the families of the brave CRPF jawans martyred in the attack in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. I salute their courage."

Seven CRPF men were killed today in a landmine blast carried out by Naxals in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.
