New Delhi: The Government of India will on Thursday make all possible efforts to save an Indian facing execution in Indonesia in a drug-related case.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had informed on Wednesday that all that is required will be done. .

Gurdip Singh, 48, was found guilty by Indonesian authorities of trying to smuggle drugs into the country.

"Gurdip Singh is facing death sentence in a drug case in Indonesia. We are making last minute efforts to save him from execution on July 28," Swaraj had said in a series of tweets.

Singh, who is from Jalandhar in Punjab, was reportedly sentenced to death by a court in Indonesia's Tanggerang Banten province.

He is among 14 people facing execution after the authorities decided to resume death penalties.
