Taking a jibe at the Janta Parivar merger, Union Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Sunday said that the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) combine would emerge victorious in the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls.

Mumbai: Taking a jibe at the Janta Parivar merger, Union Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Sunday said that the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) combine would emerge victorious in the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls.

"The Janata Dal United (JD-U), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) are in the name of merger only wrestling with each other. Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) has always maintained that it will not form an alliance with them. These followers of Kanshi Ram have absolutely no feelings for the people of Bihar, neither are they bothered about the development of the state," Paswan told the media here.

The LJP supremo further said that his party along with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would get a thumping victory in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

"The LJP will be with the BJP and win full majority in Bihar," he added.

According to reports, the assembly polls in Bihar would be held most likely in September or October this year.

The BJP, which along with its allies had won 31 of the 40 seats in Bihar in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, is set for a battle against a united Janata Parivar comprising of the JD (U) and RJD.
