New Delhi: Bihar Police have arrested husband of JDU MLC Manorama Devi 's husband Bindi Yadav in connection with the killing of a youth in Gaya on Saturday night.
The deceased's friend alleged that his friend died after being assaulted and later shot by some unknown persons, one of them was in a 'commando' uniform.
"They assaulted my friends, fired shots because of which my friend died, " said Aayush, a friend of the person who was shot dead.
"We tried overtaking their car, but they started firing shots in the air. One of them was wearing a commando dress,"added Ayush.
Bindi Yadav, whose son is accused of killing the youth, defended his son and said that whole incident was just an accident.
"My son was driving the car and those four persons in other car were drunk. They started overtaking his car, stopped my son on the way. They then pulled him out of the car and started beating him. During scuffle,my son took out his licensed pistol in defence, by mistake it happened (killing of youth)," said Bindi Yadav, husband of JDU MLC Manorama Devi.
Meanwhile, JDU has also assured appropriate action against accused.
"Anyone taking law in their hands will not be spared,such people can't be protected," said Ali Anwar, of JDU.
A youth was shot dead by some unknown assailants in Gaya district on Saturday night.
