New Delhi: Zeenews.com, one of India's trusted news websites, is proud to announce its tie-up with social media giant Facebook for its instant articles service for Android users.

By becoming part of the new service, zeenews.com has become one among world's top 350 media outlets selected by the social networking website to roll out the instant articles functionality.

The instant articles service allows media firms to publish articles directly to the social network's news feeds.

"We’re excited to announce that everyone who uses the Facebook for Android app can now read thousands of Instant Articles every day in News Feed from publishers worldwide. Combined with our recent launch of Instant Articles to everyone on Facebook for iPhone, publishers can now deliver fast and immersive reading experiences to hundreds of millions of people daily across the two most popular mobile platforms in the world," Product Manager Michael Reckhow said.

"We’ve been beta testing Instant Articles for Android with a small group of people on Facebook for several weeks, and as we saw on iPhone, the faster, richer reading experience inspires people on Android to share Instant Articles with their friends more often than they do with standard web articles," Reckhow added.

Instant articles was launched in May and has been available on iOS devices since October.

The service allows publishers to either sell and embed advertisements in the articles and keep all of the revenue, or allow Facebook to sell ads.
