There are seven taluks and 14 Legislative Assembly Constituencies in Ernakulam district. The seven taluks are Kochi, Kanayannur, Paravur, Aluva, Kunnathunad, Muvattupuzha and Kothamangalam.
The Ernakulam district has recorded 84% voter turnout. The elections were held on Nov 5.
