Train mows down tiger in near Satna, Madhya Pradesh

The forest department has also decided to approach the Railways to regulate the speed of trains in the forest area.

Satna (MP): In a tragic incident, a four-year-old male tiger was mowed down by a speeding train near Majhgawan railway station in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh.

New agency PTI reports that the incident took place last night in Majhgawan range Chithara area.

As per forest officials, the carcass of the tiger has been recovered and taken for post-mortem.

The officials added that presence of four tigers was detected in the range and efforts are being made to ensure that such incidents do not take place again.

The forest department has also decided to approach the Railways to regulate the speed of trains passing through the forest area for the safety of wild animals.
