22-year-old Tandel’s father got a call informing about his death in Syria,” the official said. Aman’s father Naeem Tandel, who lives in Govindwadi area of Kalyan, got a call late Saturday night from an unidentified number, the police official said.

However, a report in the Mid-Day claimed that the caller had told Tandel's father that his son was killed in an air strike in Iraq.
