New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party rebels Vinod Kumar Binny and Tina Sharma on Thursday hit out at Arvind Kejriwal and AAP for failing to keep their promises made to the electorate in Delhi.

Speaking exclusively to Zee News, Binny said the Kejriwal government has backtracked from its promises on free water and reduced power tariff.

“Why has the government backtracked from its promise of providing 700 litres of free water daily to every household in Delhi? Why are Delhiites being asked to pay for the full consumption for consuming over 700 litres of water per day?” Binny asked.
“Kejriwal had promised to waive power bills of those Delhiites who were asked by him not to pay their inflated bills. But he has now gone back on this promise as well,” the MLA from east Delhi said.

Responding to allegations of his past links with the Congress, Binny said he had joined AAP when nobody was aware of the potential of Aam Aadmi Party and the heights it would scale.

Binny also hit out at Kejriwal for lack of action on Janlokpal Bill.
“It has been 19 days since the government formed and I believe today is the right time to talk about the issue. Kejriwal had promised Janlokpal in 15 days, but there has been no talk of the same so far.”

Binny also denied his aim was to become a minister in the Kejriwal government or fight Lok Sabha polls.

“When the first list of (Delhi) ministers was drafted, it had my name in it. Further, I never asked for a Lok Sabha ticket. In fact, Sanjay Singh and Kejriwal asked me to apply for the same.”

Binny also denied that Kejriwal has proof of corruption against former chief minister Sheila Dikshit.

“I don`t think Kejriwal has ever shown proof of corruption allegations he has made against Sheila Dikshit and her ministers.”

Another AAP member Tina Sharma, who too has revolted against the party and its leadership, refuted the allegation that she was a BJP agent.

“It`s no big deal that I am being called a BJP agent. Allegations are being levelled because of political compulsions,” Tina told Zee News.

She accused the party of failing to listen to her on women`s issues.

“How could Shazia Ilmi forget about women issues when her political career was born on the Nirbhaya gang-rape case agitation,” Tina asked.

“I raised my voice because my issues were not being addressed,” she said further.

Tina said AAP should not fight Lok Sabha polls as it has still not proved itself in Delhi.

She further accused the party leadership of having decided the names of several Lok Sabha poll candidates without any discussion.

“Why is the party claiming that discussion on Lok Sabha candidates is still on when several names like Ashutosh, Shazia Ilmi, Sanjay Singh and Gopal Rai have already been decided,” Tine rued.

“Thousands of AAP workers are angry and disenchanted,” she said, adding the party was turning out to be a failure.
