AICC warns some leaders against dissent

AICC General Secretary B K Hariprasad on Thursday warned a section of PCC leaders for airing views in public and asked them to refrain from dissent or face consequences.

"If anyone has anything to say, they should tell it to the AICC leaders, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and not in public. Next time, we will serve showcause notice to them if they showed indiscipline," AICC General Secretary B K Hariprasad said at a news conference here.

He was replying to queries about ex-PCC chief Pradip Kumar Balmachu holding parallel meetings at several places while some other leaders going to media with dissent voices against the party.

Stating that disciplinary action would also initiated against any Congress leader holding programmes without the consent of PCC chief or District PCC head, Hariprasad warned the state leaders saying, "We have recently dismissed a Congress leader in Odisha."
Balmachu reportedly said the AICC president Sonia Gandhi`s recent approval of members for the Pradesh Congress Committee was not balanced.

Former CLP leader Manoj Yadav reportedly accused PCC president Sukhdeo Bhagat of neglecting "sincere" party workers.

Hariprasad was here to participate in a party meeting in the capacity of party?s incharge for Jharkhand affairs.
