Rajkot: A private complaint was on Friday filed in the magistrate`s court here seeking registration of a case against Shankaracharya of Dwarkapeeth Swaroopanad Saraswati for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments with his reported remarks against Saibaba, the 19th century saint from Shirdi.
"Bimal Gandhi has filed an application in Chief Judicial Magistrate`s Court seeking registration of case against the Shankaracharya," said advocate Sandip Antani, Gandhi`s lawyer.
"Magistrate A J Vyas adjourned the hearing to July 7," he added.
Similar complaints have been filed against him in courts in Hyderabad and Indore too.
