Arjun for probing alleged links between Sangh Parivar & terror groups

HRD Minister Arjun Singh on Friday suggested a comprehensive probe into Malegaon blasts as his party alleged links between Sangh Parivar ideology and terror outfits.

New Delhi, Nov 14: Senior Congress leader and HRD
Minister Arjun Singh on Friday suggested a comprehensive probe
into Malegaon blasts as his party alleged links between
outfits inspired by Sangh Parivar ideology and terror outfits
like Indian Mujahideen (IM) and SIMI.
"I feel there should be a comprehensive probe," Singh
told reporters hailing as "good suggestions" Congress demands
for setting up of a Multi Disciplinary Task Force into the
alleged linkages between Sangh parivar organisations and
outfits like IM and SIMI.

The senior Congress leader said the probe should be
carried out with a non-partisan attitude and such an
inquiry would help the polity.

Singh, a vocal critic of RSS and its affiliates, said
"from the beginning, I had my doubts about Sangh Parivar...It
should have been brought up after the assassination of Mahatma
Gandhi...But not taken forward at that time".

His remarks came close on the heels of Congress accusing
linkages between IM and SIMI and various organisations
affiliated to and inspired by Sangh Parivar like Hindu Jagran
Manch, Jai Vande Mataram, Jan Kalyan Samiti and Abhinav
Bharat.

The party also wanted a sitting Supreme Court judge to
inquire into the working of private military schools like the
Bhonsla Military School and Sankalp, a finishing school for
civil service aspirants to see whether they are not working
with a partisan mindset.
