Mumbai: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal, who is known for stoking controversies, has said that he would vote for Bharatiya Janata Party`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi only if a gun is pointed to his head, a newspaper report said on Thursday.
"If you hold a gun to my head, I will choose Modi," the former Delhi chief minister was quoted as saying by the newspaper, while he was meeting fund managers and stock brokers here yesterday.
The AAP leader said this while responding to a question posed by investment banker Anil Singhvi. Singhvi is ex-managing director of Ambuja Cements.
While speaking to the newspaper, Singhvi confirmed that he did ask Kejriwal that if given a choice, who would he choose as the next PM - Narendra Modi or BSP chief Mayawati.
Initially Kejriwal refused to answer my question, but when I insisted, he said that if forced to choose, he would opt for the Gujarat Chief Minister, Singhvi told the newspaper.
However, the AAP leader today denied making any such comment and dismissed the newspaper report. He tweeted:

Rubbishing the report, the ex-Delhi CM further said, “Complete fiction being planted in favour of Modi.”

While interacting with the fund managers and stock brokers, the activist-turned politician had asserted that the upcoming General Elections will give a fractured mandate.
The event was organised by stockbroker Ramdeo Agrawal at Bajaj Bhavan in Nairman Point.
While attending a rally in Mumbai yesterday, Kejriwal attacked Modi, saying, "The `Modi wave` is not visible anywhere in the country. And we don`t want to remove the Congress and replace it with the BJP."
