New Delhi: The daughter of self-styled godman Asaram Bapu, who is behind bars in connection with cases of sexual abuse, on Friday claimed innocence for her father.
Speaking to reporters, Bharti also rejected the baseless allegations against her mother and herself, while stating they have full faith in the judiciary.
"We have full faith in the judiciary," Bharti said, asking, "Can any daughter or mother indulge in such acts?"
The duo were accused of complicity in Asaram`s alleged sexual acts.
A local court in Gandhinagar had yesterday granted anticipatory bail to both the wife and daughter of Asaram in connection with a complaint lodged by two sisters.
Judge DT Soni granted bail to Asaram`s wife Laxmi and daughter Bharti, in connection with a sexual assault case lodged against the self-styled godman.
In her complaint, the complainant had alleged that Asaram`s wife and daughter had helped him commit the crime.
