BJP leader Giriraj Singh upset over ticket distribution, meets Rajnath Singh

Reportedly upset with the Navada Lok Sabha seat being alloted to him for the upcoming General Elections, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Giriraj Singh met party president Rajnath Singh at his residence on Friday.

New Delhi: Reportedly upset with the Navada Lok Sabha seat being alloted to him for the upcoming General Elections, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Giriraj Singh met party president Rajnath Singh at his residence on Friday.

Reports said that the Bihar BJP leader wants to fight the Lok Sabha from Begusarai constituency. The party has given the Begusarai ticket to Bhola Singh.

After meeting Rajnath, Singh addressed the mediapersons and said that he is going back to Patna and will decide on his strategy there itself.

Interestingly, Singh along with other state BJP leaders were the first one to pitch for Narendra Modi as the prime ministerial candidate. Singh has a strong support base amongst the Bhumihar Brahmin community.
The BJP yesterday finalised a total of 100 candidates in 11 states, including 25 in Bihar, 24 in Madhya Pradesh, 13 in Jharkhand, 14 in Kerala, 7 in West Bengal, 6 in Assam, 5 in Karnataka and 2 in Maharashtra.
The BJP released its first list of candidates for the upcoming General Elections last month.

While 16 candidates have been cleared from Maharashtra, 17 candidates have been cleared from West Bengal. Two candidates each from Arunachal Pradesh, Goa and Manipur and six from Odisha has been finalised. Three candidates have been named from Himachal Pradesh and five from J&K. In all 54 candidates have been zeroed in.
