Chandigarh: BJP`s Human Rights Cell on Sunday termed the police action against yoga guru Baba Ramdev and his
supporters as "murder of democracy" and accused the Congress
of providing shelter to corruption.
"It is murder of democracy...police resorted to using
force against peaceful people fighting against corruption,"
BJP`s Human Rights Cell incharge Avinash Rai Khanna told
reporters here.
"Congress and corruption are two sisters and the
agenda of the Congress is to provide shelter to corruption,"
he alleged.
He said that it was a situation like imposing
emergency in the country.
"All pressure groups who are forcing the UPA
government to bring blackmoney stashed in foreign banks and to
bring a legislation against corruption are being crushed by
the present government," Khanna said.
He said that there was a wave in the country against
corruption and the UPA government would not succeed in
crushing it.
