Yashwant Sinha on Sunday asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to
bluntly tell China that India would not tolerate its
"unwanted" interference on the sensitive issue of Jammu and
Kashmir.
The senior BJP leader also asked the UPA government
not to carry out the dialogue process with Pakistan till it
stopped terrorist activities from its soil.
On the recent diplomatic row between Indian and China,
Sinha voiced concern over what he said "unwanted interference"
of Beijing on the Jammu and Kashmir issue.
The Prime Minister should convey to China in clear-cut
terms that India would not tolerate any interference in its
internal affairs, he told reporters here.
India should also retaliate and raise the issue of
Tibet and Taiwan at the international level, the BJP leader
said.
The former Union Minister expressed concern over
reported deployment of Chinese troops in Gilgit-Baltistan
region in PoK.
India should never trust China which had always
pursued a dual policy with regard to its relationship with New
Delhi, Sinha said.
Triggering a major diplomatic row, China recently had
refused to permit an Indian Army General to visit the country
as he is in-charge of "sensitive" Jammu and Kashmir.
This invited an angry retaliation by India which put
all defence exchanges with Beijing on hold till the matter was
sorted out.
India had said the Chinese action amounted to
questioning the status of Jammu and Kashmir which was
"unacceptable".
