Mumbai: Survivors of the Gyaneshwari Express
derailment incident, which has claimed over 140 lives, arrived
here on Saturday night in a special relief train.
Relatives of the survivors thronged to the Lokmanya Tilak
Terminus where the 15-coach special train containing 11
compartments from the ill-fated incident arrived.
The train contained around 600 passengers including the
survivors as well relatives and kins of passengers who had
gone to West Bengal to know the fate of their loved ones.
At least 141 people were killed and over 200 injured in
the derailment of the Howrah-Kurla Lokmanya Tilak Gyaneshwari
Super Deluxe Express in West Bengal`s West Midnapore district,
allegedly triggered by Maoists yesterday.
