Varanasi: Three people suffered critical burn injuries in Jayapur village here after a high-voltage electricity wire broke loose and fell on 440 volt line.
An injured girl was rushed to a nearby private hospital.
Over the delayed action taken by the authorities in providing medical help to the injured, Bharatiya Janata Party`s (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, who is also contesting from the Lok Sabha seat here, on microblogging website Twitter, said:
It was disturbing to know that the injured did not get timely medical attention & authorities showed no concern when mishap took place.

Showing his disappointment over this mishap and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured girl, Modi further tweeted:
Several people were injured in the mishap. A young girl is still lying unconscious in a private hospital. Wish her a speedy recovery.

The Gujarat chief minister added that he had a word with village Pradhan Narayan Patel and have assured him of all possible assistance.
