Mumbai: Lone surviving Pakistani gunman
Ajmal Kasab Wednesday denied having entered Mumbai through the sea
route and stuck to his earlier claim that he had come to the
city 20 days before the 26/11 attacks.

Kasab told the Special Court, which is recording his
final statement on prosecution evidence, that he had not
undergone any training at the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) camp in
Pakistan and that his confessional statement before a
magistrate is wrong.

"Main kasam khake keh sakta hoon ki yeh bayaan mera
nahi hai...Yeh police ki banayi hui statement hai...(I can
swear this is not my statement...Police have prepared this
statement)," he said.

Asked by the judge if LeT operatives and wanted accused
Hafeez Sayed and Zaki-ur-Lakhvi had told the 10 terrorists
that India`s economic strength had to be attacked, Kasab
said he does not know anything.

He denied seeing video footages, photographs and maps of
CST, Hotel Taj and Trident, Nariman House and Leopold Cafe.
According to the prosecution, the two other arrested accused
in the case - Faheem Ansari and Sabauddin Ahmed - had
prepared maps of the sites and provided them to the
conspirators.

"I heard of Faheem and Sabauddin for the first time in
this court. I had no idea who they were before this," Kasab,
clad in a white kurta-pyjama, said.

The gunman repeated his allegation of torture and claimed
police gave him electric shocks if he refused to memorise the
statement prepared by them.

Asked by the court if he knew Bashir who was also present
at the training camp, Kasab said, "I know only one Bashir
saab...he used to teach Urdu in my school when I was small. I
do know any other Bashir."

Kasab said the police had shown him photographs of the
bomb recovered from CST and the GPS system.

"Maine woh GPS...peela sa mobile...pehli baar court main
dekha...mujhe nahi maloom usse kaise use karte hai...(I saw
the GPS for the first time in court and I do not know how to
use it)," he said.

Special Judge M L Tahaliyani was putting questions to
Kasab on the basis of his confession before a magistrate in
February.

Kasab, Faheem and Sabauddin are facing trial for
conspiracy and their involvement in the 26/11 terror strikes
that killed 166 people and injured several others.
