New Delhi: Social activist Kiran Bedi took to Twitter and criticised the corrupt politicians on Sunday after reports were out about ex-Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy allegedly asking for Rs 20 crore bribe in exchange for party seat in the Rajya Sabha in a tape.
Bedi, while questioning the transparency in political parties, said that all disciplinary or criminal procedures are for public servants, but there are no such procedures for members of political parties.
“Members of Political Parties caught red handed for irresponsible or criminal behaviour, have ensured no binding disciplinary rules for themselves,” said Bedi
All disciplinary or criminal procedures r for public servants! What's there for members of pol-parties for criminal/irresponsible behaviour?

Should political parties not frame stringent rules to discipline irresponsible/corrupt/criminal/ members who bring public life in disrepute?

She further urged the voters to reject the corrupt politicians and said that the country will not change if such politicians are not rejected.
“Unless we the people whether literate or illiterate, poor or rich, urban or rural, young or old reject such politicians, India will not change. Indians will continue to suffer if we keep voting for such people,” added Bedi.
