Non-Cong states not implementing central schemes: Kidwai

Central schemes meant for the poor are not being implemented properly in the states ruled by non-Congress parties, AICC Minorities Committee Chairman, Imran Kidwai, alleged today.

Ranchi: Central schemes meant for the poor
are not being implemented properly in the states ruled by
non-Congress parties, AICC Minorities Committee Chairman,
Imran Kidwai, alleged today.

"The Centre has been sending sufficient funds for
pro-people programmes. But states like West Bengal, Karnataka
and Madhya Pradesh are not implementing them properly," Kidwai
told newsmen here.

The governments of these states have been neglecting the
implementation of NREGA and Indira Awas scheme, he alleged.

"Only Congress-ruled states are implementing them as
Congress has a vision backed by strong policies to uplift the
standard of living of the people," Kidwai claimed.

Stating that 19 of the 23 recommendations of the Sacchar
Commission have already been implemented and their results
have been positive, he said Congress would execute all its
promises in the interest of all sections of the society.
