PM greets Obama, invites him to visit India

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday greeted Barack Obama on his election as US President and expressed the hope that the bilateral relations between India and US would strengthen further.

New Delhi, Jan 22: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday greeted Barack Obama on his election as US President and
expressed the hope that the bilateral relations between India
and US would strengthen further.

In a letter to Obama, Singh invited him and his
wife Michelle to visit India.

The letter focused on the multi-faceted relationship
that is anchored in the common values of democracy, pluralism
and respect for diversity shared by the two countries.

The Prime Minister said the people of India join him
in sending their best wishes.
