Lucknow: Launching a fresh tirade against Baba Ramdev, Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh on Tuesday reiterated that Baba Ramdev was a fraudster who was “fooling the nation” and also said that it is shameful that BJP had begun its journey from “Ram” only to end at Ramdev.

Answering to a question at a press conference here, Digvijay said that it was “not the Congress but the Delhi police” which gave the order on Saturday, June 04, to crackdown at the midnight hours in the Ramleela Maidan, where Baba Ramdev along with thousands of supporters was holding an anti-corruption fast.
“There is a difference between political party and the government. It was not the Congress political party but the Delhi Police which made the crackdown decision,” said Digvijay.

Digvijay who is a hard critic of Baba Ramdev, repeated his scathing comments, saying that Baba was a thug. Questioning Baba’s credibility, Digvijay said that his claims regarding the amount of black money being 400 lakh crores were baseless.

“Who can be a bigger thug than the person who says that everyone will be distributed Rs One lakh each once the entire lack money is recovered,” said Digvijay Singh.

He also slammed senior BJP leader LK Advani saying that it was ridiculous to compare a trickster like Baba with the likes of Viekananda. He also criticized Advani’s comparison of the Ramleela crackdown to the Jalianwala Bagh massacre.
