Sushma Swaraj to visit Bangladesh in June, likely to meet Hasina

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will visit Bangladesh later this month, as per reports. The sources said that Sushma will hold talks with the Bangladeshi counterpart and is also likely to meet PM Sheikh Hasina during her visit to the neighbouring country.

This will be Sushma`s maiden trip overseas as the External Affairs minister. The Union minister today held talks with her Chinese counterpart Wang Yi to make Indo-China bilateral relations stronger.
The Chinese delegation led by Foreign Minister Wang will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is also expected to call on President Pranab Mukherjee and meet the new National Security Advisor Ajit Doval during its two-day visit to India.
After the formation of the new Indian government, this is the first contact between the two big Asian countries. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei told media briefing that Wang, during his visit, will meet leading Indian officials and will have in-depth exchanges on how to push forward bilateral relations.
