Suspected Swine flu cases in Pune

Two suspected patients of Swine flu, who arrived here from Spain and the US, have been kept under observation, the government Sassoon hospital authorities said on Monday.

flu, who arrived here from Spain and the US, have been kept
under observation, the government Sassoon hospital authorities
said on Monday.

The suspected cases are of two young males aged 37 and
22 who were referred to the Sassoon authorities by a private
hospital where they had gone for treatment complaining of sore
throat yesterday, Dr Arun Jamkar, dean, Sassoon hospital said.

The patients were moved today to isolation ward of
municipal Naidu hospital and their blood samples sent to the
city based National Institute of Virology (NIV), Dr Jamkar
said, adding that report of the test for H1B1 virus was
expected by tomorow.

Medical personnel were maintaining surveillance at
Pune airport, it was stated.
