Washington: Classic games can now be played on the micro-blogging site Twitter. The user can play the game just by tweeting the URL on the site.
The user can also embed the tweet and the game inside any webpage.
The feature only seems to work for MS-DOS games right now, as reported.
Earlier this year, 2400 MS-DOS games have been added to Internet Archives preserving the classic games by making them playable in the browser. The group's efforts have covered everything from MS-DOS games to titles from the arcades.
Retro titles like original Street Fighter, Metal Gear, Maniac Mansion, Oregon Trail and Doom are all available.
The only downside of the feature is that the users have to visit each specific game's page to play them.
But every game is not well suited to the platform, considering the dedicated hardware that is required to play these games.
