New Delhi: ''Beautiful women are more successful in their lives''! Yes, this is what an Flipkart promotional e-mail reads which it had sent to its female customers.
And after such an sexist statement, the company had to earn the ire of one of its customers who took to Twitter to criticise India's largest online retailer.
Twitter user Richa Kaul Padte posted a screenshot of a Flipkart promotional email with a tweet saying, "Thanks for this piece of sexist s**t email @Flipkart."
A day later, Flipkart replied on Twitter saying "it does not endorse the content of the email and will investigate and take action."
Flipkart's chief product officer Punit Soni also offered an unconditional apology to the customer and said "they do not endorse the insensitive remarks in the email. This is a big fail, will not happen again."
