Washington: For those looking to have the most original Halloween costume this year, Google is hoping to help. It has created a new search tool, Frightgeist, to help users find out how their Halloween costumes are trending.
Frightgeist draws from the top 500 searches in the United States and uses Google Trends to decipher the most popular costumes. Users can choose between costumes "trending nationally" or "trending locally" to either join the crowd or truly stand out.
Currently, the top three trending Halloween costumes nationally are Harley Quinn, Star Wars and Superhero, with Pirate and Batman close behind.
