With Facebook becoming an integral part of lives of people across the globe and with over 126 million monthly users, social networking giant Facebook has rightly been voted as the most popular application of 2015.
Meanwhile Google's suite of mobile apps-think YouTube, Google Maps and Gmail-have overtaken smartphones, claiming five out of the top 10 spots in Nielsen's list of the most popular apps of 2015.
Google-owned YouTube is the second most-used app in the U.S. with over 97 million users. Instagram came in at number 8 with over 55 million users.
