One person arrested in Puri train fire case

The Government Railway Police today arrested a person, who hails from Tamil Nadu, in connection with yesterday's fire at three express trains at Puri Railway Station.

Ramachandran Subas, the accused, who hails from Tamil Nadu, was one of the four persons detained yesterday by the Railway Protection Force immediately after the fire, M Nageswar Rao, ADG, GRP said.

He was loitering near the burning coach of Nandankanan Express.

Subas was produced in a local court today, a knife, a blade and a match box were seized from him.

The three others detained are being interrogated for their possible complicity in the fire in which five bogies of three trains were gutted.
