Will welcome Sidhu if he wants to join AAP: Kejriwal

 Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said he will welcome cricketer-turned politician and a BJP member Navjot Singh Sidhu if he wanted to join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

New Delhi:  Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said he will welcome cricketer-turned politician and a BJP member Navjot Singh Sidhu if he wanted to join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

"We will welcome Navjot Singh Sidhu if he wants to join AAP," Kejriwal said while replying to a question that there was talk in the political circles that Sidhu would be projected as an AAP candidate in the upcoming Punjab assembly elections. 

Kejriwal also said that he was confident of sweeping the Punjab elections.

"First of all, I am confident that we`ll sweep Punjab elections looking the current surveys that were conducted. I won`t be surprised if the Delhi assembly results are repeated in Punjab. As far as face of the party is concerned, it will emerge at the right time," Kejriwal said at the a summit here.
