Jaipur: In a tragic incident, six people, including 2 BSF jawans, lost their lives after they consumed spurious liquor in Rajasthan's Barmer district.
The soldiers — Tapandas (45) from West Bengal, and Bhal Singh (36) from Jhunjhunu district – complained of chest pain after they drank liquor from a local shop in the border district. They were rushed to the district hospital but could not be saved.
The civilians are all from various villages ion the district.
As per the police, 12 other people are under treatment.
Samples of the liquor has been sent to the forensic sciences laboratory even as efforts are been made to nab all the culprits responsible for the tragedy.
