New Delhi: Since past few days, Delhi has been grappling with high levels of pollution. According to a report by the World Health Organisation (WHO), the city has been found to have the highest levels of particulate matter, also known as PM 2.5, known to be most harmful to human health.
Well, Delhiites are in for some relief by Sunday. According to a report published in The Hindu, it is being forecast that strong winds will bring in some respite as they will help in clearing away toxic pollutants from the air.

Further, the report says, that this week, the level of benzene in the air has also risen sharply leading to more trouble.

Delhi, with 8.1 million registered vehicles, has repeatedly beaten Beijing on particulate matter pollution. The city adds over 1,000 new personal vehicles each day on its roads. Also, the rider ship on Delhi buses are constantly decreasing. Growing traffic on city streets is a major cause of air pollution.
