The Government Railway Police has given a clean chit to its two personnel, accused of pushing a woman out of a moving train leading to her death, in the final report of the case submitted by it before a local court here.

Muzaffarnagar: The Government Railway Police has given a clean chit to its two personnel, accused of pushing a woman out of a moving train leading to her death, in the final report of the case submitted by it before a local court here.

In the report submitted in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Narender Kumar yesterday, the GRP gave clean chit to the accused personnel due to lack of evidence.

The incident happened on February 27 last year.

Santosh and her husband Rajeshwar Dutt Tyagi, who had purchased general class tickets, inadvertently boarded the Delhi-Dehradun Shatabdi Express, according to a complaint filed by Rajeshwar at the Government Railway Police Station.
The complaint alleged the two RPF personnel on duty, after heated arguments, pushed them out of the train soon after it left the Muzaffarnagar station.

Santosh fell on the track and was run over by the Shatabdi Express while Rajeshwar escaped unhurt.

According to Rajeshwar, he and his wife were on way to Deoband in Saharanpur district to attend a funeral ceremony but boarded the Shatabdi Express by mistake.

On the basis of the complaint, a case was registered under Section 304 of IPC (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) against RPF Sub-Inspector Ramchander and Constable Subhash.

Meanwhile, reacting to the submission of the final report, the victim`s family has said that it would file a protest?in the court for not accepting report of the police.
