Ex-BSP MLA expelled from party

Former Uttar Pradesh MLA Ajay Yadav has been expelled from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) for alleged anti-party activities.

Etah: Former Uttar Pradesh MLA Ajay Yadav has been expelled from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) for alleged anti-party activities.

Ajay Yadav was expelled yesterday as per directions of party supremo Mayawati, BSP's district unit president Balveer Singh Bhaskar said on Thursday.

The party's order was conveyed to Yadav by Mandal Co-ordinator of Agra-Aligarh Zone Suneel Chittod, Bahskar added.

Yadav was elected as BSP MLA from Patiali Assembly seat in 2007. He, however, switched over to Congress in 2012 and re-joined BSP in 2014.

He was also president of Zila Panchayat for two terms from Etah, Bhaskar said.
